Friday night brought second-round playoff action to the Kentucky high school gridiron. The temperatures are starting to dip, but the action is heating up. Heres a look at a few of the games that unfolded in Week 12.
COVCATH 48, LOUISVILLE DOSS 21
Fans that showed up late to Wooten Stadium on Friday night, missed plenty of fireworks as the Covington Catholic Colonels (x-x) put 21 first-quarter points on the scoreboard and never looked back as they rolled Doss, 48-21.
CovCath (9-3) quarterback AJ Mayer accounted for three of the teams touchdowns. He threw for 144 yards and a score and made his way in the end zone twice on runs of 1 and 36 yards while finishing with 45 yards rushing in the win.
Next up, the Colonels head to Louisville to face Fern Creek next Friday night.
