The cross country team got their season off and running with a trip to Louisville for the large and prestigious St. Xavier Tiger Run. The JV team finished 5th out of 18 schools. The JV squad was led by Nathan LaMarre in 16th, Griffin Hester in 17th, Drew Wittmer in 23rd, Graham Merten in 26th, and Trey Shearer in 32nd.
The Varsity runners had a tremendous race, finishing 2nd out of 30 teams behind only host school St. X. In a field of almost 300 runners, the Colonels placed six runners in the top 55 with Brian Menke in 10th, Bradley Couch in 27th, Grant Guenther in 49th, Sean Panoushek in 51st, Matt Rose in 53rd, and Jake Zimmerman in 55th. Good start to the season Colonels!
