Bo Schuh, a three-year starter on the Covington Catholic boys' basketball team, will continue his playing career at Transylvania University in Lexington.

Transylvania competes on the NCAA Division III level and doesn't award athletic scholarships, but Schuh received an academic scholarship. He is currently ranked 11th of 122 students in his senior class with a 3.82 GPA and scored a 30 on his ACT.

Schuh was a starting forward on CovCath's 2014 state championship basketball team and helped lead this year's team to the semifinals of the state tournament before losing to eventual champion Owensboro. During his three seasons as a varsity starter, the Colonels had a 91-15 record.

Schuh, who also played in five varsity games as a freshman, had career totals of 1,089 points and 677 rebounds in 111 games. In his senior season, he averaged 13.1 points and 7.3 rebounds. He was named to the 35th District, 9th Region and state all-tournament teams as well as voted one of the top players in Division I by Northern Kentucky high school basketball coaches.

He'll be joining a Transylvania team that finished 12-13 overall and 9-9 in the Heartland Conference last season with a starting lineup that included Dixie Heights graduate Parker Stansberry.
